Overview
The origin of Gujarat can be traced back to Stone age settlements, but it is Gujara who ruled it from the 8th to 9th century that gave it the name. It is famous for its traditional clothing, food, and natural landscapes. Asiatic lions, Rann of Kutch (white desert), and kaleidoscopic handicrafts are the glimmer of Gujarat. It is also home to famous art forms like Rabari Embroidery and Pithora paintings.
